Our history
Established in 2018, our boutique "Les Secrets de Jade Ltd" is located in the charming tourist locality of Grand Baie on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Erline STEFANICA, originally from Mayotte in France, moved to Mauritius with her family in 2017. Quickly, her desire to bring her passion for decoration and ready-to-wear fashion to Mauritius motivated her to open her own boutique.

As a fashion designer, she creates everything from lightweight beachwear to evening gowns, sourcing original fabrics through her numerous suppliers on the island. All her designs are locally made, catering to men and children as well.

In terms of décor, Erline loves to hunt for unique finds in unconventional places around the world, prioritizing artisanal and original items while maintaining a commitment to fair trade practices with some of her suppliers since the inception of the business.
About
All our ready-to-wear creations are produced locally in a short supply chain. The production sites are all located within 20km of our boutique. Our goal is to produce in small quantities to avoid excess inventory and waste, ensuring our customers wear limited-edition creations.
Regarding craftsmanship, we collaborate with Dieudoné in Madagascar, known for their artistry in wrought iron using recycled petroleum drums. Violette and her husband employ several hundred women who were once in dire situations, often resorting to begging to survive. They have trained these women in the craft of ironwork and established a school to educate the hundreds of children from these families. The raffia products (such as cushions, lampshades, etc.) are crafted by Atelier Bohème, also based in Madagascar, providing sustainable employment to numerous Malagasy women as well.
